Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈

Well... I'm still sat here, credit where credit is due, dealership trying to move heaven and earth to go forward, Its LR that is dragging its heels.
Oh and the noise, according to guru from LR is gearbox and oil is burnt and particles in oil due to, wait for this, " being driven while engine was off".
Needs a new gearbox and torque converter which is back order.
The gearboxes are sealed for life and don't require oil change so not sure what relevance is for asking for the service history again.....

LR Schedule is gearbox oil and filter change at 150,000 miles.

I wonder if he means that the thing was towed a long way as in "the gearbox has been driven [by the wheels] while the engine was off".

Just a thought.

Are you planning to sleep over in the dealership?  2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I am no longer the owner of a Sport
Unfortunately as part and parcel of the resolution, I am unable to divulge who why when and where, but thanks mainly to the dealer who got lumbered with all of this but wasn't the supplying dealer, I have got out of jail reasonably unscathed.
With the likelihood of a long and protracted legal battle with LR and the probability of never getting much back other than my costs I had to bite my tongue and salvage what I could.
Will pick up replacement car early next week and hopefully that will be end of the saga. I too, have opened a bottle, and will sleep better tonight than I have in a very long time  2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
