Tyre wear advice

Hi folks. I’ve changed over to my summer wheels at the weekend and I can see there is slight wear on the inner quarter of the rear tyres. The car drives fine although I’m going to get them rebalanced. With this being my first tyre change since owning the car, is this how I’d expect to see normal wear?. The wheels are LR 20’s, Pirelli scorpions. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Agreed. Definitely worth getting the alignment checked and adjusted as necessary Steve. I use TyreShack in Southampton based on previous forum posts. £50 for a full alignment and great service. If it only needs a single adjustment as my L405 did, it's even cheaper.

Here's my review from when I took the L320 in...

Hi Stevepd.

Yes, I'd say tracking is out from your description.

I always get mine done using a Hunter Tracking machine. Much better for 4x4s.

Google 'Hunter Alignment' or have a look at https://www.hunter.com

When I lived in Hampshire I used Flintstones in the SO31 area. Barrie.

Definitely a alignment issue, this was mine when it came back from dealers after having rear diff seal fixed under warranty, they had to drop nsr bottom arm to fix.

Thanks everyone. I’ve dropped into my local national who balanced the 4 wheels. The Tyre fitter said that some of the tyres have tyre bounce and are 5 years old. I’ll see what the drive to work is like in the morning for smoothness, but inevitably new tyres are on the horizon. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.
