Sounds like a similar case I had against Easyjet who offered us 1000 euros plus costs for standing down from a flight. Surprise surprise on our return to the UK they denied all knowledge of it and refused to pay, I got bored and issued a small claims demand and then their lawyers tried to bully me into standing down. I got the arse and said it was a point of principle and not about the money and I really wanted to see them in court to ask the judge to call the pilot to give evidence. In the end they called at 5pm the day before the court date to settle all my costs and another couple's who also stepped down who had also been refused payment. A great result and one that I hope you also get

It's a simple case that they charged to repair my car, managed to break something else and then stitched me up. Obviously until case heard or settled it wouldn't be prudent to reveal all the facts.  2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Wouldn't think so, which doesn't help your cause. They are remote from the Turbos.

Interesting to hear that JLR are pedaling the " very unusual to have an engine failure" line. Hopefully their line will soften once they realise this is now on open channel and plenty of people have suffered the same failure.
