I also have a very small leak, however an annual regas is a huge amount cheaper than condenser replacement. Not likely to keep the car long enough to make permanent repair financially sensible.

Update. Alternator replaced and all is well.
The alternator itself is fine, the problem was the pulley bearing and clutch mechanism.
