It's the same wire as per MrRovers post here:

My concern is the 0v coming out of the relay, when I assume it should be 12v.

It’s meant to be ground. 0v

Maybe poor connection on 87

You should also hear a click from behind the glovebox at the same time as the other click

I was getting that.

I'm going to try new relay and spade connectors and go from there.

Also check L7 amp and it's getting 12v over the power supply so that's okay.

Is there a way to short circuit the amp to power it on? Really just to check Amos working as I haven't used it in years...

well if fuse 57 and 58 (behind glovebox) have power on them (when relay clicks), this mod is working

If the amp isn't working the things to consider are:

1. Do you have a complete optical circuit loop.
2. Is a LR display unit plugged in above the radio and working
3. Is the bluetooth unit plugged in and working

Ok, following your numbering:

1. Yes all FO points are either connected and powered, or disconnected and looped.
2. Display is disconnected and FO looped.
3. BT disconnected and FO looped.

I'll double check I haven't missed a FO connector.

Cheers

So.... It works πŸ‘πŸΌ

I'm guessing it was the relay in some way. Used a new one and connected everything back up, including AC controls, hazard switch, and transmission connectors.... Turned the ignition and it fired right up.

10x betters than the crappy in built system.

Sincere thanks for your help and patience πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

Ok, my bad looks like I have a wonky connection to the FO control box 🀦🀦

School boy error.

EDIT: On further research the wonky connection actually stems from the connector to the box of tricks. I've tried to stabilise it and it seems to work now. However, I'll have thelook into a more permanent solution when I try to tidy up the cabling next weekend.

Thanks again for the support, patience and help Guys Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

a bit more info on my part, sometimes 1/10 times the amp doesnt turn on. i turn the car off, turn it back on and hey presto works fine. no idea why.

also i currently have an issue of the audio cutting out when i go round corners fast enough Razz am guessing i need to ditch the crappy connectors and use solder/heat shrink.
