Jaguar tops JD Power Listings

Yes Jag has knocked Lexus off the top slot in the JD Power Vehicle Dependability Survey in the USA. Lexus has been there for 14 years! Well done Jaguar and all who work there. 46000 owners of 2006 Model year cars were surveyed 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thumbs Up Result!! hopefully some of that filters down to LR.

found it here: http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-jd-pow...y/1439579/

Same old story for LR, but better than VW, lol. However, the RRS came 2nd in the "premium large MAV" class. Bow down

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Land Rover won "Most Improved Marque", but are still lanquishing down near the bottom of the list. Confused

You have to remember these results are from owners of 2006MY vehicles. Land Rover have made vast improvements in recent years, so hopefully we will all see Land Rover climbing up the results table over the next couple of years. Thumbs Up Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

I'm on my 7th Land Rover product since 1996 - no need to change to any other brand, they seem to work OK for me! I've had minor niggles and a TD5 Disco2 I had broke down on the way to the dealers to collect a new Freelander1 so I reckon that doesn't count. My Defender is the car that I have owned the longest out of all the cars I have ever owned - 8 years now, and while it leaks when it rains and the doors come away from the seals when I get it over 65mph it has never broken down or had something fall off it that I haven't encouraged to fall off mistreating it offroad 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Note that the RRS came second in the large premium MAV sector though! (Second to some locally grown Lincoln truck as well - not that I'm accusing the respondents of being partisan of course!)

At least LR can consol themselves that they were ranked higher than Volkswagen, OK so it was one place higher at 238 faults per 100 vehicles to VW's 260 faults per 100............................................

I just hope when the new RRS comes out there are none/less of the gremlins that inevitably arise with a new model.

Otherwise, all the haters out there will once again jump on the bandwagon and slate LR despite their good work Sad Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

I'm not speaking from any point of experience here because I have never had to deal with LR Customer Services for a serious fault on any of my LR cars, but I think the problem for Land Rover is not the product per se. Judging by what gets posted here it is the lack of sympathy or willingness of LR Customer Services and some dealers to accept that people do get cars that are giving lots of problems from often very complex parts of the car. As we have seen on some posts here the majority of owners are pleased with their cars and will put up with small niggles that can be fixed at a service but to receive offhand or rude treatment from dealers or customer services when your £45000 car is going wrong is unforgivable and customers get their own back by badmouthing the company. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
