If it were down to the dealers, they would possibly replace the tailgate or something similar, they just don't care.

I think Halfords robbed me of a fiver for my pack. Money well spent though! Thumbs Up Mine's dead quiet now.., well, EXCEPT for the exhaust rattle that was previously drowned-out by the noisy tailgate.., can't bloody win!!! Rolling Eyes

You're absolutely right Peter, why are we diagnosing and fixing our problems? Confused

Given our prior experience, LR can and do take notice of problems that get reported. It's that the info gathering exercise is a quiet one - they don't let the entire world know when they have acknowledged a problem. In the meantime, it's good that we are all problem solvers... means we can go about our business without squeaky tailgates/windscreen wipers etc. Round of applause for us! Very Happy

I absolutely agree with all that is said. This forum is read not only by us the members but also by Dealers, LR and prospective buyers.

I joined this forum the day I ordered my RRS and I learnt a huge amount about the car before I had even collected it from the dealer.

I just wonder if we would all be as forgiving of the manufacturers and maintainers if it were Airbus or Boeing products we were using ! It's finally gone! Replaced with BMW 730SE in Sophisto grey Xirallic finish with Oyster (Ivory) and black interior. DAB, Climate glass, Ceramic iDrive and gear selector, power boot and iPhone Bluetooth pack - luvvin' it!

I miss my old RRS "bucket" rattling around but it just had to go!
