It will be a full on, off road day

Cool!
Although rolling my RRS is not something that i'm looking to do so may not push it too hard first time out!

Kam idiots push hard off road, you don't need high speeds to get adrenaline rushes. A good driver can scare you witless at 3mph. The car that rolled was one of the foot to the floor brigade that pay and play venues attract. They believe that the only way to get over an obstacle is foot to the floor. Offroad driving is all about reading terrain, risk assesment and knowing when to back away.

The very best drivers are so not because they have outstanding vehicles (although they usually do) but because they can look at terrain and read it to know the easiest way across, they know where the risks lie and when to say no I can't make that without risk to myself, my car or the environment. Its not about larapping around a site like on top gear that i how you will smash your car and hurt yourself.

Pelyma - I will be doing the day with Kam and thanks for sound advice. Must say I'm a little bit worried about damage but I will pay more attention to those who know than I have ever done in my life before! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Snap!! was very worried about damage etc, but have been reassured that the course is non damaging in itself, but if you act like an idiot then you know what can happen, im sure the owner of that RR was feeling like a pillock after that little episode. I don't want to even scratch my RRS let alone roll the thing! I will be taking it very very easy, and will hopefully have a lot of fun and learn a thing or two..

On my recent trip to Pakistan, i had to take a Honda Civic VTI off road to get down to a house we were visiting, and that took a miracle to get it back up the mountain side and it had gone dark.. car slid all over the place, and as you rightly said pelyma, my first approach of slam the pedal down and wheel spin up the mountain side was soon forgotten as i slid ever more close to the cliff edge.. got up there slowly slowly in the end and had to loose a lot of weight to get that piece of crap up the mountain.. (i.e. my family had to walk it about 200m while i cleared the major obtacles). Good fun when i think back now, but was bloody scary when we saw the drop when my dad opened the passenger door!

Should we have off-road insurance? Matt

You'll have to get onto disco3.co.uk and contact BN and see if there are any spaces left. They have limited it to 10 on this occassion, but there maybe a spot still available. BN will fill you in when you express an interest.

VA, Mpox, you guys all ready for our fun day out on Sunday.
Got my crappy matts through from the guy off ebay this morning (steal for £15), im going to attempt to drill in my fire extinguisher tommorow (Mpox Style) and will borrow the first aid kit from my dads Bmw on sunday morning.

Looking forward to it now, got three mates coming along, so if VA tries to break my legs, we will linch him! hehe.. Very Happy .. kidding.. will be good to finnally meet you guys in person.

I agree VA, bring along the Volvo mate, see what its made of, and maybe you can kerb some of this criticism and give it some respect.

We will take loads of pics and get em posted up here on sunday on our return, hopefully it will be a great day without any incidents, im thinking the snow may make it a bit more interesting, if not more muddy!
