| When you take the 2 sound deadening covers off either side of the engine you will see vapour from the diesel or simply put your finger on it and you will feel the injector not in time with the engine. |

Yes actually turned out to a bad injector!
Got worse over time and when the engine got upto temp.
Swapped with a new injector all fine  |

Could be a wheel hub? Had any work done on brakes or anything lately?
You could with it off the floor and spinning the wheel to check if its anything wheel/tyre/hub/brake related. |

| Have you checked the injectors - a bad injector can cause lumpiness - recently had this myself especially when driving for more than 20 mins and the engine was warmed through etc. |

They seem to know what they are talking about, hopefully it'll be a set of cap bolts, a couple of cams and a chain assembly at worst.
I'd certainly stick with the original engine if you can as like ... |
