Rough idle and left bank MAF circuit error

Hello,

Recently bought my sons 2014 4.4 SDV8 RRS and would greatly appreciate any advice as it has developed a problem.
Sudddenly started to have a lumpy idle and some jerkiness when trying to keep constant speed. Seems fine accelerating. Plugged in my Launch and it said MAF sensor circuit error on bank 2. Was reading 0 at idle and got normal looking readings at 2500 rpm +, so wasn't convinced sensor wasn't working. Swapped left and right sensors over, same problem. Tried another from another RRS, same problem. Disconnected sensor and no difference in idling but carried on running for a while when turned engine off.
Did a smoke leak test and found EGR return pipe leak. Retainging clip on gasket bent under causing leak. New gasket fitted, re-did the smoke leak test - all good. Tickover was much better for about 20 mins and now back to lumpy.
Running out of ideas. Any help appeciated.
Simon

Have you checked the injectors - a bad injector can cause lumpiness - recently had this myself especially when driving for more than 20 mins and the engine was warmed through etc.

No, thanks, will have a look. Though, it runs rough from switching on.
