Very rare to actually find an engine number on the block. Most of the time it has corroded and can't be seen.
Just go with the tag on the top of the engine and check your V5C to see if they match. ... |

Sounds like a GEN2 belt kit is required. Usual local distributors like EuroCarParts don't have these as the tensioner bolt is M10, not M8. The rest of the kit is the same as GEN1

The same as the TDV6 engine. The only difference is the TDV8 has 5 main caps, not 4. So start at #3 cap.
20 main bolts 60nm
