Manifold leakage

I have an obvious leal of fumes making their way into the interior . Stripped out the right cyl. head area thinking after a 2yr break and changing the inlet manifold cover , I instantly thought it was a cracked manifold again , but after stripping back the steel cover plate , it looks like one or two injectors are lealing around the base . I can only assume at this stage that the copper seals have gone , is it a case of replacing these or do I need a complete anchoring kit . It’s maybe an o ring on the cap , but it’s too close to the base to eliminate , so I think it’s leaking from there . I will try and show a video.
[img]Sorry this a photo , can’t load and struggling to load video !

Why can’t I load a video to this site. I am using google .

Exhaust fumes ? Diesel fumes?

You just have the video in your files and move it in the same way as a photo attachment. Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

Fuel , come to think of it it’s probably both from the injector seat .

When I choose photos it doesn’t show videos to load.

Probably fuel feed line is loose or fuel return o ring is damaged. Injector seat would be more carbon. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory

There is plenty of carbon about, maybe not seeing it against the black cover . One of the above pics show a white hue being emitted . This is part of the video I was trying to send you .

On further inspection , the manifoldsurrounding the injector or injectors is caked hard with treacle , so definitely fuel and combustion.
Attempting to remove two injectors and copper seals arrive tomorrow . A MESS !

I chipped or tapped the particles onto the cloth , so being baked for a while !

Need some help here , a bit embarrassing ! I blocked the inlet tubes to prevent ingress of muck . Forgot about them and now one of them has a towel sucked in to inlet and so where do the pipes end up do they go to the intercollegiate before the turbo , can’t see anything for everything else.

Is anyone good at showing a schematic of air take system from MAF to intake pipes on 3.6 V8, so that I can ascertain where to look first. It’s a nightmare from the top or bottom , but I do see some pipes.

Thanks for that , looks right , as in 8 connected to turbo , which is one long pipe!

So after a say and maybe two , I finally managed to find the cloth , Nightmare , if only the fan shroud came off , I wouldn’t have to take the whole of the front end off , if I had discovered a pipe holding on to the fan shroud below . Spent all day on the rebuild and still got stuff to do rectify .

Sorry not a good pic of Pipe connection to turbo , but luckily I didnt rev up and draw the cloth in too deep !
