No choice but to accept and take the downgrade. He said as no AB cars will have the Signature it won't make mine worth less than another one which I suppose is true. A bit annoying though.

I am sure the Meridian Surround system sounds great. I test drove a FE and didn't pay much attention to the sound system to be honest so I guess we will be ok. MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

I have just taken delivery of a L461 D300 AB. The Meridian sound system is slightly better than the Meridian sound system fitted to my previous car, a L405 RR P400e, but there is no denying that it isnt as good as the surround sound system fitted to a L494 RRS AB I had before that. I enjoy listening to my Spotify music but I am no audiophile and the sound system in my L461 is acceptable but it is galling to have paid for something I didnt receive.

Another thing that seems to have gone missing on the L461 AB compared to the L494 AB is that the upper section of the front seats backrest no longer adjusts separately which again is disappointing and splitting the seat adjustment controls between the door controls and the infotainment screen is irritating to say the least

Anyone heard anything about the return of the Meridian 3-D sound system?

Definitely not. I have an AB coming in summer, confirmed just Meridian Sound System only. Killer given its got the price increase on this build

I had a look on AutoTrader last night and came across a Range Rover Sport P400 AB (23 reg) that appears to have the Meridian Signature sound system installed.

Like everyone else, I can’t even get Meridian 3D Surround on my P440e AB so I was quite shocked to see a car with Meridian Signature!

I could not see where it states Signature, but according to the sister Discovery site they are now shipping cars with Surround audio. 2026 P460e Autobiography on order

How bad is the base meridian system? My old RRS had the surround and was lovely, now I am not getting 3D with mine, I feel like a proper downgrade coming!

Surprisingly, Meridian Signature is not actually mentioned in the vehicle description but you can see it on some of the photos.

I’ve never heard of that happening before!

I asked my dealer when I ordered a couple of weeks ago and he had no information. Shame because my current Velar has Surround and didn’t want to ‘downgrade’ audio

my P440E PHEV AB just landed at the dealer - no Meridian 3D either..

Have any of you been offered any compensation for this downgrade ?

Hi Prashan,

I have been told there is a £500 discount to compensate for the speaker system downgrade. Considering Meridian 3D is a £1200 extra on SE models, I think £500 is a bit low!
