EGT sensor bank 1 replacement

Looked at search and couldn't find. Have code that says this need replacement and I am looking for part and any info on how easy or hard the job may be?

SDV8 2018 with 169,000 k's, Car is running fine but would like to fix .

Thanks M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

hi. did you fix this? i have the part but seems much confusion on what side bank 1 is.

Older TDV8 i think is on the right as you look at engine from the from and the SDV8 its on the left as you look at engine from the front.

Could you confirm?

yes i did. As you look at the engine its on the right. down need the manifold and had to move the fuel filter to get to it.

How hard was it to do this job? I have heard horror stories that you need special tools and if it snaps off its an engine out job! Evoque HSE Dynamic

was a pain in the arse. So the tool you buy with the sensor is ok but more for install. In the end i just cut the wire off and put a standard deep socket on it and undone it. Risk but wire was a mess after trying with the proper tool.

I used loads of release fluid over the course of the day.

Put mine in to a specialist and it snapped in the exhaust, they got it out but it was not cheap
