Rr sport 07, rear leak appeared this week

Hi just got home after a few days away with work to find something at the rear is leaking. It's a cylinder just above the rear of the fuel tank. I've attached a picture to the post, can anybody identify the part that's leaking, I've only just had a quick look to take the pictures. It thought someone could shed some light quicker than I could get it lifted and poke around. Thanks.

No photo visible or in your gallery. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yes, rear anti roll bar. If you're lucky it's the connections of the pipes to the bar. If not, it's a new bar assembly. Can be had for £700 from Advanced Factors, double that from a LR dealership. it's a bit of a fiddle to change - the rear body needs to be lifted a bit for access I believe. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Thanks for the reply. I've ordered 2 new orings from jlr parts site. I'll clean it all up and fit over the weekend and see what's what. I o ly noticed it because of the small spot on the drive and I was un jamming my epb modual, its supposed to go for mot next week. I'm assuming this is an instant fail?

I’m not 100% but I don’t see why it would be an immediate fail. The EPB is probably a more serious fail than a small leak. 2012 5.0 SC AB

Epb it sorted now. New pads and disks all round. New shoes and cables for the park break. Just hoping I can get the mot so I've got a few days to get the roll bar sorted.

ive seen posts on here where it failed, but that could be due to the corrosion. if you just clean the area up and its a small leak you might get away with it

hi sorry for jumping on your post,

Ive just bought a 2009 RRS 3.0 had it in the garage today for a knock and they said the ACE is leaking on mine, there's no lights on etc or oil on the floor.. ive spoke to the garage where i bought it from said they will fix it and its an easy fix? however i need to take the car back which is about 115mile away. is it ok to drive? i have ordered some oil to top it up. looking at this and other forums these are a common issue?

probably not. you can take a few bottles with you, but ACE runs at high pressures which means fast leaks.

the issue is if it runs dry you can burn out the pump which costs atleast 1k

still the same. mine managed to puke all the oil from just idling 😂

you can take ACE off and use a normal anti roll bar etc etc. but the kit costs almosts the same as just getting it fixed.

the fix is one of 3 things.

1. Maybe the seals are shot, easy fix, replace seals, they cost a couple quid.
2. The pipes have rusted and rotten, not ideal and you have to raise the body slightly, but they can do the front and back for about 500ish plus quid. not counting labor
3. The bars themselves are leaking, they are pretty damn expensive since only LR make em.

I mean if you can find the leak and see how severe it is, maybe it'll last 115 miles. but to be safe, carry like a 5litre jug of fluid. normally when it runs low you will get a light.
