Tailgate not opening

I have a 2010 RRS and the full tailgate doesn't open. The button seems to stuck inside and pressing it or pressing the button on the key fob does nothing.

The glass bit on it's own opens fine but the whole thing doesnt. If I spend about 10 mins playing with it I can eventually get it open, but once closed it won't open again.
