United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black

I ordered this one knowing it was not dual view:

DH32 10E889 AA

But the seller couldn't find that one so gave me the one you referenced ending in AB.

Hope it helps, very much looking forward to hearing more about your one.

If I may, one bit of advise, if you want something sorted once you get it open a dispute and do not close it until they have fixed it no matter what they say Smile or have them extend the protection period.

Thank you Very Happy

AS of late i have had to return 3 things to Aliexpress from different sellers . Down postage each time as they just didnt work ( Game gear replacement LCD screens )

Each time i have just said give me my money back minus postage . (Saves me the hassle of sending back and the cost )

The first thing i sent back, refunded after 30 days . Then the item gets sent back to me as their address didn't exist !

Atleast payment protection worked Wink

With that being said, My GF has an Idrive replacement ( android 2gb unit) that i bought from Aliexpress for her X1.. and its still running great Wink. Fingers crossed this turns out ok.

been offered dh32 10e889 bb for £60

looks like mfr date is 2012 , from a discovery 4 that does not have dual view.

wondering if that will be ok.

Ok looks like my unit has finally left their shop.

24.05.2020 - Arrive SFC warehouse in processing.

Only took them 10 days to dispatch Rolling with laughter

They had a bit of a debate and tried to stipulate that the Discovery 4 has a bigger screen and this wouldn't fit.

They also suggested ( Could be rubbish to hold me off ) that a new RHD tesla version of this android unit is in production, with the updated specs . If i waited i could get that unit instead for maximum capability.

Dont really believe it !

Are you sure it’s Disco 4? DH32 is 2013MY and I think BB is dual view but Disco never had Dual view (even though it’s it the repair manual). Also I don’t think a Disco 4 screen will work in a sport. The coding is different inside but you may be able to reflash it?? 2012 5.0 SC AB

I done quite a few google searches for that PN . All listed it as a Discovery 4 screen.

I was under the impression that screen was just a "Dumb" screen, didn't think it had any thing different inside it ?

I Suppose time will tell Very Happy

Hang on I think you’re right, it’s the IAM that won’t work in the RRS, I put a Disco 4 IAM in mine and it won’t work. I ended up fitting a special device to trick the car into thinking it’s a Disco to make it work. The screen though could work and thinking back DB could be the Dual View not BB, it’s been a while since I last messed with them. 2012 5.0 SC AB

i see a few dual view RRS screens that ended in AH on Ebay. So unsure how these codes work .

Yes the IAM i am lead to believe is the "brains" ? holds the HDD , satnav , bluetooth stuff.

I noticed a lot of these newer RRS Android screens have dip switches for dual view screens . Was unsure if this one did, but ! i didnt want to take apart my screen if i could help it. It can go in the loft whole !

Hopefully will arrive next week so i can have a play Wink

Have you enabled it in the CCF? You will need a tool such as an IID tool To do this.

I did post this in his other post on the same subject, although not overly legible, although easier to read if viewed in my gallery.

Cheers

So after reading on another thread it's possible to use an app to get Android Auto working I gave it a try. The app developer has been great and very supportive and it now works very well, I don't notice any lag at all.

I am very happy that I now have Google assistant working through this route also.
