United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Fuji White

thats the exact issue I had in the BMW as you say with the volume lowered in the aux setting it cleared the sound up still not as good as original but quite close. obviously I would need a set of r/h dash parts you had made how would I go about getting those made and what sort of cost is involved?

P.s great work and thanks for taking the time to reply, its only because of guys like you the rest of us can do these mods
knowing that were not gonna wreck our fairly expensive motors lol.

I swear they've gone up in price on AliExpress now - although I do notice there's a 'standard size' alternative now, fits where the original screen was.. it's barely any cheaper, sadly! 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S

Have a look for Krando on Aliexpress. They are selling them for £581.27.

PM sent, pre-warning, it's not cheap.

On that note if anyone on the forum knows how to get parts made cheaply from CAD files please share so others can get these made at a more affordable price than 3D printing.

Looks like a much better spec.

Looks like you remove the screen off the old unit like I did for mine, connect the ribbon to this and then screw it back in. As the video shows the original UI still works and long press to switch it over the the android UI.

I'm not sure how they are handling the audio though, pretty sure you would need to plug into the AUX in the back again. Unless they have done some Bluetooth trickery and it's connecting to the car through that, if they have the audio would be way better.

Shame they don't show the kit physically.

The info seems a rehash from other units , the first pic is actually a video... It looks like their Android interface copy's the new RR interface.

What is weird in the video they are tapping a blank space on the OEM stereo to get into the Android interface .

Also they don't even mention screen size ? Rolling with laughter

The first interface you see is the actual Land Rover interface as it is on mine, you unplug the ribbon connecting the original unit to the screen then plug it into the android unit leaving the original unit there.

The way to get to their android interface is to long press by the looks of it.

Funny thing is there Chinese sellers don't like to include too much information incase someone copies it, ironic isn't it.

I don't like the fact there isn't really any proper specs, I'd imagine when you get it and check properly the specs will be different.

I like that - and it might save needing to replace dash trim but as said, I wonder what the mounting solution looks like? It could just be a big gaping hole from the windscreen side for all the pictures show so on that basis... you first, mrluke! Laughing

The picture of the happy smiling staff near the bottom of the listing did make me chuckle - the lady on the bottom left in both photos clearly didn't get the "smile" part of the memo Rolling with laughter 2014 BMW 530d Touring, 2006 BMW 650i, 2018 Mini Cooper S

After looking around for a bit

seems like this is a similar unit ( for a newer version of the LR )

As suggested these all use the AUX input method.

Also As above what would worry me is how the screen is mounted !

Also i mentioned that it looked like they were clicking on "Blank" space to access the android (Aliexpress Video) . Looks like they had edited the video to cover the SatNav button ?

Gerd, Quick question

Does the RR Bluetooth phone continue to operate with your android unit ? Or because of the AUX do you need to use the android version.

Also DAB and sat nav aerial , Did you manage to connect the original "RR" aerials to the Android unit using a conversion adapter ?

I can pair it to either. It's up to you which one you want to use, when I couldn't get it working properly I kept it connected to the car. Now it works properly I use the android one. Steering wheel answer and hang up work.

Taking one for the team here . I Imagine this wont have a setting for dual screen.. So may also like Gerd need to swap my screen to a "non" dual screen version.

Heres some pics
