New calliper is best option,yes you can get a tool to clamp the pipe or use some mole grips but put a piece of cloth inbetween grips & pipe so not to damage pipe the once new calliper is fitted slacken bleed nipple remove grips & then the calliper will gravity bleed,once only fluid is coming out re tighten nipple & all done. Great was going to go with the new caliper, do you think changing both is a good idea or just the one.

I myself would change both as they will probably be same age & also replace with new discs & pads,that way they are all new & check & clean hand brake mechanism while you have discs off. Andy.

Yea changed the discs and pads yesterday, that when I found the seized caliper, the rubber boot has disintegrated completely |

A new caliper is sub £50. Its not worth rebuilding |

Can be found even cheaper. It actually costs more in labour to free off a caliper than it does to replace the thing |
