Hi Everyone,

Long time green oval owner here. Living in beautiful New Zealand where right now it's mid winter and cold and wet.
Makes a change from the UK I suppose where it's summer and cold and wet!

Currently running a modified TD5 Disco2. Previously had D1's, a D3, 90 and 110, Series 1,2 and 2a, numerous RRC and loved them all.

Looking to upgrade the D2 soon and it's looking like a RRS is going to fit the needs list best for several reasons.
Major one is the 3.6TDv8. The 2.7V6 in my D3 spat a bearing and so I'm not keen to go there again and down here petrol is not cheap so even though the S/C V8 is mighty tempting, I don't think it's a good idea.

I've been lurking here for a little while and so I will probably be PM a few of you to ask specific questions. TDv8 EGR removal for a start.

Looking forward to being an active member here.

P.S - my old D3 was featured in the D3 calendar a few years ago. White D3 up a mountain here in NZ. Does anyone still have a copy? It would have been about 2009 / 2010.

Hello all, new boy here. After many years wishing and hoping I have finally purchased a 2008 RRS 2.7 HSE and I absolutely love it, the grin on my face when driving it is a picture, my wife thinks I've lost my marbles. I have replaced a few faded bits and pieces and I'm soon to have it serviced etc which I know will cost a few pennies but is worth it. I owned a 2004 G4 LR2 up until a few years ago but it's not a touch on my RRS. Thanks Shane

I’ve just purchased my first RRS, it’s an older 1 owner 06 model 2.7 HSE with 83k on the clock. Look forward to getting to know everyone and my car a bit better. If anyone could point me in the direction of any DIY egr delete threads that would be great! Had a quick look in the search bar but couldn’t see much.

Hi, Nice to join this group. I have actually 'upgraded' from a Sport to a Vogue (don't beat me up on this!!!!). If anyone is interested, here is a comparison I made between the RRS and the Vogue...and an X5 for added entertainment value! It started off as just a bit of fun but it went a little sideways! Afternoon All, just joined as I plan too purchase an RRS this week. My thoughts were an L320, with an SDV6 with the 8 speed auto. Do all SDV6 have the 8 speed auto?. I have £13-14K to purchase and hopefully remap, sort alloys etc. I am particularly keen on black leather as the wife doesn't like light interiors.

Any and all advice will be gratefully received as I've found it quite difficult to find a decent review. Looking forward to being an owner and contributing to the forum.

After many years hankering after a RRS finally bought one despite all the reviews saying you to be mad to buy one, mine is a 2007 2.7 V6 HSE, im the second owner from new 128K on the clock but is such a lovely motor to drive, i just had it serviced after buying it a couple of weeks ago, just need a couple of things doing on it to get it back to A1 condition.
