2.7 2007 EGR VALVE BLANKING OFF.....A NO NO??? HELP

Sorry a lot of threads ref my RRS but dilemma continues....black smoke, engine system fault so local garage blanked off EGR values and remapped. Just spoken to a LR specialist who said this was a no no for this year and engine.....anyone experienced major drama later on once done on this model??? Once recoded after removal can they be put back??

Which local LR specialist told you that?
Is yours a TDV8? * Current: 2024 D350 Defender 90 on coils!
