if it's the V8 diesel, then you appetrently will have the FBH even if youhavent specified. If it's the TDv6 then it would have the FBH apparently unless specified.

Not sure whether mine has it, but I used the in control app this morning and started the car remotely while still wrapped up warm in bed. When I eventually got up, had a shower, had breakfast and went to the car, it was all defrosted and lovely and toasty |

Not sure if this helps but my MY17 Evoque with ICTP has this as standard and it is bloody brilliant |

But Evoque has an electric cabin heater that comes on as soon as you start the engine - it is called a PTC - positive temperature coefficient heater however it does have some draw backs. On really cold days when there is a big electrical load the Battery Managament System will prioritise consumers and the heater is quite a long way down the list! You will get the head lights, heated screens and mirrors, electric power steering, heated steering wheel and seat heaters before the cabin heater on really cold days. But I do agree that it is a far superior solution for those mildly cold mornings. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Not sure if this has changed for the MY17 but mine heats up good and proper within 15 mins of the app calling for the engine to turn on. |

On your MY17 does it actually start the car or just run a heater?

I did not pay extra for it - could be standard on the Evoque Dynamic but yes the car starts up and remains locked. The car is heated to the temperature you set on the app (mine is 22c) and yes the front and rear heated screens turn on too so in 15 mins a warm car with no frost - Mrs says its the best thing I have ever bought her You can only run this for 30 mins max and once you reach the end of the cycle it won't work again until you go and manually turn on the car and then off again. |

This is why I have asked the question... I have an email stating that the facility to change the climate settings is standard in the model I was enquiring about, in my case the SVR. As remote start is a facility within ICTP you's assume it would work in conjunction with the climate settings within the app? After conversing with the Sales chap we concluded that the £1k option would just be the previous version of remote park heat which I understand uses the car's remote as opposed to the app on your phone, which is obviously more restrictive and in my opinion, now pointless? Unless there is something I'm missing?! |

My MY17 Biography starts by using the APP. As stated in other posts, this starts the engine but keeps everything locked. Not only do the heated windscreen and rear screen come on, but the heated from seats come on as well. So, getting in the car on a frost morning of -3 is a joy

My 16.5MY switches on the pre heater via the app and switches to vent mode in the summer. If the new model year switches on the engine, this makes the option irrelevant in my opinion! |
