HI

I bought my rrs a few months ago and the front heated seat have never worked (the backs work fine) The buttons do light up. I did a scan and it come up with the following fault codes,

Climate (HVAC - Heating ventilation and air condition)
DTC Description
B1B65 - Left seat heater temperature sensor
- Permanent
B1B66 - Right seat heater temperature sensor
- Permanent
B1B74 - Front foot-defrost mode stepper actuator
- Permanent
B1B75 - Front foot-face mode stepper actuator
- Permanent
B1B76 - Front left air blend stepper actuator
- Permanent
B1B77 - Front right air blend stepper actuator
- Permanent

So i have just changed both of the front seat heating elements (bottom) but they still do not work, i have re-scaned the car and it comes back with exactly the same ????

Any ideas ?

The codes are incomplete. LR codes will have two further numbers at the end. One common theme within the codes is short to ground. Also, all of those items are run through the temperature control unit. The rear seats aren't as far as I can tell, strangely. Maybe a fault in that unit. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Yes i though the same so i removed the "heater controls unit", opened it up to check for dry joints or anything obvious but apart from some dried up stuff (drink i think) on the fan speed control everything seemed fine. Put it all back together and to my surprise all is working fine. I have erased all the fault codes and re-scanned. There are no fault codes now so possibly some sort of bad connection ??? I will see how long it all works for.
