Top man! Well done for having the tenacity to track down that fault.

Can you imagine how much it would have cost if a dealer tried to fix it with their usual tactic of playing 'new part bingo' using your money? You'd probably have a new dashboard and EPB module by now with a £2k bill and no fix.

The correct thing to do would be create a post on 'Faults and Fixes' describing the symptoms and how you fixed it. That's what that section is supposed to be for after all. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Agreed! Thumbs Up That section needs to be weeded out and restricted in my opinion. It should be a repository of fixes not the general mish mash we have now. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi Mat,

I have the same problem as you had, do you remember the colour of the wire you had to splice.

Have you any pics?

Cheers

Dale

Hi Dale,

Can't remember what colour wire it was, but as soon as you get hold of the loom you will see the wire chafed through the plastic coating. N/s/r wheelarch

Well done that man ! , I believe that somewhere on here there are a few posts and problems that often mention this plug, and it has been removed and soldered just like you have done with the wire Thumbs Up 2007, HSE, Cairnes Blue, Factory tints, Love it !!!

Excellent, I've bee watching this thread. Funnily, I was thinking of mentioning that connector and associated wiring, as when I was rummaging around the rear of mine, I noticed that the plastic clamp to the chassis had broken, and it was able to move around. I used some tie-wraps to secure it as a temporary measure. Thumbs Up

I assume you mean what is n/s/r which is Near Side Rear, which in your case being L/H/D will be the left hand (drivers side) rear fender wheel well.

Cheers

I have the code c1a48 I hope I can find the issue with the wires . The parking brake works and holds and releases, tried clearing the code but it won’t clear . I can hear the actuators working . Is there anything else I should be checking for?
