Towing and warning lights

I am sure there is a towing topic already but I couldn't find it sorry .... I have recently bought a 2007 RRS V8, had a Thule towbar fitted and everything was fine when I towed my horse trailer with 1 horse in it, yesterday I towed with 2 horses in and the dashboard lit up like a Xmas tree. Firstly the suspension warning orange light came on, with a message about the suspension, on the way back the suspension light came on, a written warning about HDC came up, the braking warning light came on and the DSC ( triangle with an exclamation mark and a circle around the triangle with an arrow on one end) orange light came on. Sad Any ideas what the problem is ............... thank you

Did you have genuine Land Rover or aftermarket towing electrics fitted? Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

The electrics are genuine land rover parts (the trailer indicator light works) and the tow bar is Thule. When I towed with 1 horse there was no problem, 2 horses seem to be the problem. No problems in everyday running around. I do wonder if the towbar is slightly low as there are a lot of different height adjustments on the actual tow bar and with the heavier load it pushes the RR down too much Question

It does sound like the rear suspension is carrying too much load. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The towbar is set at 400mm at the moment, I am going to get it changed to 450mm and see how that works .. Anyone know what is the ideal height for a heavy trailer is? Thank you. Very Happy
