5 speed or 6 speed when in command shift?

Hi all, Newbie to the forum and a newbie to a rr sport, does anybody know if 6th gear is available when in command shift? doesn't shift and just stays in 5th on the display, can't quite tell if its going in, even in auto mode, I haven't been on a decent run as yet,I did read on hear somewhere that the box is self learning and adapts to individual driving styles, any advise or info would be apreciated

All gears are available in CS on my 2007 RRS 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

In Drive or CS, all gears are available. In Sport mode, only the first 5.

No so for a 2.7 TDV6 - I used to think that because mine did not go into 6th but I tested it on a motorway and found it changes up to 5th as normal and as long as cruise speed (a steady speed) is over 80kph it will change into 6th after about a minute - if you are not driving relatively steady it will not go into 6th - I rarely see 6th around town in Sport mode but I tow my camper van in sport mode and it will get into 6th eventually. When not towing I do not find Sport mode to be much use.

Mine selects 6th at 50mph as long as the throttle is light

Not sure if the ratios are the same as the TDV8, but if you're doing 50mph and the revs are around the 1500 mark then you're in 6th RRS gone

My 07 TDV8 will be in 6th gear at about 2000 rpm doing 70 mph. If you are going too slow, command shift won't allow you to change up to the next gear. As long as I'm going fast enough, 6th is available using command shift.
