New Member With RRS 4.4v8

Hi Guys,

I am a new member and would like to introduce myself - my names Will and Im from the Worcestershire area. I will be taking delivery of a 2005 Buckinghamshire Blue 4.4 v8 HSE in the next week or so. This is my first off road vehicle, I have always been into sports cars but after some green laning with a friend in his Disco 3 over Christmas I decided that I simply had to buy an off roader. I did lots of resurch but the one that I kept coming back to over and over was the RRS, there is just something about how it looks and drives that made me have to own one. I decided on the 4.4 v8 as I wanted an older car to cut down on the purchase price which ruled out the TDv8 and I didnt really like the drive of the TDv6 and the extra cost of the 'charged version seems unnecercery for what I need.

I am picking it up from M M 4x4 in Droitwich who are just down the road from me, 70,000 miles on the clock, two owners and the last one had it for something like 67,000 miles of its life.It is absolutley immaculate and I cant wait to get my hands on it and find some dirt tracks to go and play on.

Modifications will be fairly limited to start off with. Probably tint the rear windows, possibly add some chrome steps and defnitly look into some form of iPod linkup. I need to have a search on the forums but ideally I would like something that I can controll my iPod via the nav screen.

I know that you all know what a RRS looks like, but I think its georgous so here are some obligitory pics.

Look forward to meeting some of you guys.

Will

Lovely looking car and such a good choice of colour Whistle Thumbs Up
I can only emphisise the change the wheels comments as the stormers will not survive the first outing off road, my 20" Y spokes lasted the 2 hour drive home and got scratched 20 minutes later in the field at my farm Big Cry so I got a set of 19" and shod them with GY Wrangler MT/R, fantastic off road tyre Sons of dogs come hither and get flesh

Welcome Will,

Nice looking car, heres a couple of links to help you with iPod integration. Unfortunately it cant be controlled via the screen on older models and after countless searches and hours of reading these seem to be the best 2 options. I went for the top one as you'll see from my comments on page 2 and can recommend that option. Think you can find the equipment cheaper on eBay if not as good quality.
