Any chance of pics of the Q7? I didn't like the looks of it originally, but having seen a few around they have grown on me. And as with most Audis I presume the interior will be top banana? Thumbs Up

Will post some up for you after I have washed it this weekend, took it down a track we go down at work and its fairly dirty at the moment. Quite surprised it followed two D3s no problem, but I have no doubt as to its limitations of road.
Yes the interior is top notch, typical Audi. I had not thought of getting one myself but went with my brother when he took his A4 in for a service and once you look inside and get feel for the quality build then it makes sense or it did to me Razz Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

Thanks Biggles... Thumbs Up

You know, I don't think they look that bad now I'm a bit more used to them.

Out of the RRS, your Toerag and this, what do you prefer?

Very Hard question,

The sport is still an amazing looking car, 2.7 TDV6 is not a patch on the 3.0TDI Audi. With the sport I knew it would go any where I wanted it to go, The Touareg was exactly the same and the V10 is a stormer, the residual prices made it wise to shut it now.
I know I own a Q7 at the moment and think it is the bees knees, only tonight was I looking at my bosses Rimini Red sport thinking very nice looking car, but and it is the big but - my problems with reliability, dangerous steering, poor shut lines, new compressors, faulty hand brake, mysterious starting problems (blamed on my partners place of work and its telephone mast strande alone at 3 am in the morning 3 times) all combine to put me off the car.
I would like to stress to any others reading this though that I know of two sports in regular use and two dicovery 3s (van type things) and all are in perfect working order and have had no major hicups.
My own experience makes me shy of land rovers, but mine must have been a friday afternoon special
(only joking TB, I know they dont work fridays).

As for the Audi, so far so good, I think I will be doing more walking around some of the sites we run or maybe hitching a lift in one of the sports, but I can live with that. i have had excellent comms with the dealer got a free S-Line jacket, full tank of fuel, and he has rung me since to make sure im having an enjoyable experience in the Audi more than once. It handles very very well pulls very well has no flats spots, has more room than you can shake a stick at. Overall very impressed. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

Biggles, it will be very difficult to persuade you back into any form of Land Rover by the sound of it, but I would urge you to go and try an RRS TDv8 HSE before you buy your next car. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

As we are all aware, there seem to have been several problems with a lot of RRSs (would have been even more if the D3 hasn't soaked up some pre-RRS problems) but things do seem to be getting better with more and more fixes for recurring problems becoming available. It's also difficult to personally trust a company that had provided you personally with such a problematic product, Biggles, so see where you're coming from.

When it comes time to change the Q7 though - like Tim says, WELL worth looking into the TDV8 Sport. You'll get the benefit of it being MY08.5 or 9 by the time you get to change it and even more time will have passed, leading to a potentially much more stable product. Very Happy

Hi Biggles - just to add to the audi/Q7 thing........

As you know I have been buying Audis for years - Mrs MDP is in a new TT 3.2q DSG = Excellent , why waste the extra monies on a porsche - its def value for money/thrills IMHO and the build quality is faultless!

Now.. as for the Q7 , again Mrs MDP is forever onto me how much she likes them & I must admit Embarassed over time they have began to catch my eye too. I spotted the latest version with the 21" [ bmw style ] alloys = looked good Thumbs Up

Anyone who hasn't been inside one yet - It's a must since the build quality is impressive!
