2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Nearly 2 years in and now I realise why I like it so much

I have just driven a friend's Focus 1.6 Ghia Automatic estate for 3 hours and it really makes me appreciate my RRS. Now the Focus is a really nice car, don't get me wrong, but....................... I felt very vulnerable and low down, the visiblity round the drivers side A pillar is terrible but the aircon is amazingly good! I'm glad to be back in my TDv6 SE is all I can say - I can see over most of the traffic, the visiblity from the driving seat is brilliant, it has a load more get up and go than the 1.6 Focus, which in automatic guise sounds very strained when you want to press on and overtake something, I will now have to go and get my aircon checked out because although the Focus had staright ac and not climate, the gusts of absolutety freezing air that came out of the vents puts my RRS to shame. My aircon is working, I can get cold air out, but nothing like as cold as the Focus's system. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I had a Focus Zetec 1.6 in 2000. The aircon on it would freeze the nads of an eskimo.
The 1.6 engine pulls about 100 Bhp. It is not fast, but it is fairly nimble. RRS TDV8 HSE - Hybrid TV - Sunroof - Adaptive Front Headlights - Harman/Kardon LOGIC7 system

Tim i know what you mean, when you get into a normal car i feel really vulnerable and like my arse is on the road, and when in the RRS you feel safe and have a presence on the road, i wouldn't swap it for a normal car Thumbs Up

I find the aircon a bit lame in mine to, yet in the Disco it seems to blast the cold air out, i thought it was just mine some of my Previous cars

I would like to change our mondeo for a 4x4. It's horrible being low down when you've been higher up in the Freelander. It does seem fast though compared to the Freelander. Also in the 2 years we've had the Freelander we've only used the air con once. 2002 Discovery Adventurer LE
