Phone compatibility

Just a quick question. I can get a new Motorola V3 Bluetooth which uses the latest software version 42, which is newer than version 40.3CR (listed as being approved for that phone by LR).

Since version 42 is newer, my feeling is that it should work as well. Any ideas? SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

I've used the Motorola V3 and now the V3i and they work perfectly with bluetooth. Obviously, you can't use the onboard address book, but everything else, including voice activation works just fine.

OK, many thanks. What would we all do without this forum. Laughing I'll now go and get that Motorola.

Hopefully there will also be a Motorola cradle available in the not too distant future. SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE BUG AND SOMETIMES YOU'RE THE WINDSHIELD

RAD - when you refer to voice activation, are you referring to the RR voice act. or the mot phone voice recognition? 06 RRS SC - W O W !!! (Blk/Blk)

Think he's referring to the LR voice activation. RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

99.9% chance there will never be a cradle for V3/RAZR. Look at the design of the phone. It doesn't even have a normal docking point, just a USB connector on the side. It was not designed to dock.

And yes, all "voice control" will be the PTI's own voice control.

It was the LR voice control.....the Motorola one isn't very good. But I must admit that I also use the LR keypad for entering numbers, works perfectly - obviously never on the move.

Germany 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Cairns Blue

I am a bit dim with technology so I would appreciate some guidance.
I have a Motorola V3X but cannot get the bluetooth to find the Landrover bluetooth in the car. I have tried everything but I just get a blank.
I remember something the salesman said that, in the car, it needed "activating" but nothing more than that.
Is there a way to "activate" bluetooth in the car or am I missing something. (I have read and followed the RRS instructions and my phone instructions but nothing)
Thanks for help
Smile

Did you try putting the phone on to find me mode and then getting the car to look for the phone Question RRS TDV6 Gone but still around

Bluetooth is always on in the vehicle. You should be able to see a device called "LAND ROVER" on your phone.

Page 4 has Bluetooth instructions:
http://www.landrover.com/assets/gb/en/Vehi..._Guide.pdf

If this doesn't work, it's either your vehicle... or your phone. (So, test another phone... or try to use your phone in another Land Rover.)

Ok. I have no phone buttons on the steering wheel. Is bluetooth standard on the SE? The salesguy said it had bluetooth but I have just tried again, following the instructions to the letter, yet again and no devices found.
When I press the button with a phone set on it (on the radio headset) the lcd display says "no phone fitted"..................confused??!! I am!!
