United States 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Bonatti Grey
Blackberry

Prior to buying my RRS, a local dealer told me that my Verizon Blackberry 7130 wouldn't work with the car. I asked to try it but he wouldn't let me because he was afraid it might damage the test drive car. Shocked Nice salesmanship...

So I sent an email to the official help site run by Land Rover. www.wireless4landrover.com

They also said that my phone would not work. This almost kept me from buying the car. Sad

I went to another dealer and asked for a test drive. We tried it out and it worked perfectly! Very Happy Was even able to voice dial, and dial direct from the nav system (we looked up a random restaurant nearby and pressed dial, and it went right through.) Cool

Idea One bit of advice, if your bluetooth options include "Address Book Transfer" , turn that off. It's a security risk, and that may have been what was screwing things up for the first dealer when he tried it. 2006 Bonatti Grey HSE; Ebony Lux Package; Bluetooth; Sat Radio; Rails & Crossbars; Mudflaps; Nitto TerraG's; Matt. 6:33

I think I'll get a cradle fitted.

At the moment, I have a company Siemens S Censored t 55 and Mrs ST has a Samsung D500 (Crap on bluetooth)

When I jack it in here, and cancel her UK contract we'll get 2 phones in CY by same Manuf. which are compatible in the same cradle.

I think it's well worth the outlay. Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

Definitely worth doing... although a bit peeved at LR that the price has increased somewhat. I'm sure I only paid £80 for mine last September.

Am I missing something here?

That doesn't seem extortionate for the massive benefits it gives you. Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

That's as maybe, but it looks like they've charged Josh £230-odd for something that cost me £80-odd quid. OK, I didn't get the s/w upgrade as it wasn't around but LR shouldn't really be charging you for that anyway.

If you'd have tried to shag the service manager while you were there, maybe you would have got a discount? Shocked
