If you don't have the buttons on the streering wheel, you don't have PTI/Bluetooth. The factory version will also have the cradle mount under the center box lid. The (Bluetooth only) dealer installed "kit" version doesn't.

Dealers can retro fit a form of bluetooth, but it won't be truly integrated into the car. This apparently has to be done at time of build.

The kit will just be a pretty bog standard after market kit Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

The Land Rover retrofit "kit" PTI version is Bluetooth only (doesn't have the poorly supported cradle system) and can only be dialed via voice or the phone itself... (you can't use the keypad on the radio.)

Just out of interest I emailed LR to enquire of any future cradles in the pipeline? and......... if they were developing a patch for a software upgrade to enable bluetooth connections to access your phones phonebook.

This was their reply...........

Dear Mr Perry

Thank you for your email, please accept my apologies for the delay in the response.

Ive had a look into your enquiry and i have been advised, as the latest compatable phone list has just been updated and released there will not be another testing session for another few months. Unfortunatley they cannot advise me if any further cradles will be approved but i have forwarded your comments to the relevant department for furture reference.

I can advise you that after testing and software delevopment, Land Rover have been able to make the Nokia 6230 cradle and the Nokia 6230i phone work together, in order for customers to use the Personal Intergrated Phone system in the vehicle and have access to their mobile phone book and all the other functionalities which are available.

I hope this information is of use to you, thank you for taking the time to write to Land Rover.

Yours Sincerely

Laura Jenkins
