Options are simple, either put up with the back of the car being dark or invest 90 minutes of your life and approx £2 and do the mod so that you/your kids can actually see what they are doing with their seat belts etc when they get into the car on these dark winter evenings or buy either a FFRR or Disco as both these cars have rear overhead courtesy lights...

Easy fix , I've tried getting prices from garages first but they just seemed to pull prices out the air . A very easy mod thanks for sharing |

Simon1233, Did you use 2 diodes in this mod? I'm trying to convert the lights in my 2009 RRS and all this information is extremely helpful but although I do not have the experience of running wires I will still attempt to do this. I understand that you are running 1 wire down from each light (left & right) and then joining the other ends to the gray side of the diode and then splicing the other end into the wire from the cargo area light, but where is the other diode?

Thanks for your help Andy. I will let you know how it turns out. I may not get to it as quickly as I'd like but I will definitely tell you after it's done. |

you need to ensure the diode is fitted the correct way round.
