When my 2nd child was born I drove Mrs VA to hospital but couldn't park anywhere. Had to abandon the car - either that or have a baby born in the back seat which would have ruined the seats! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

I was told off by the Midwife when my wife went into labour with our daughter. It was during the ambulance strike back in 1990, and I didn't want to wait around for an Army Land Rover masquerading around as an ambulance so I drove to the hospital myself.

The midwife had a go at me saying, "What would you have done if your wifes waters had broke in your car. Or there had been an emergency and she had actually given birth in the back of your car?"

I told her I would have left the car as it was. The wife could clean it when she got out of hospital.

Don't know why but none of the nurses offered me a cup of tea whilst I was at the hospital. Confused Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.
