United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 SE Arctic Frost

Bombay has got to be one of the worst places in the world for driving.

The little black and yellow taxi's are scary. Shocked Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Aspen Leather, Cherry Wood, Privacy Glass, PTI, Tow Pack, Mudflaps, Tasmods, a new Fuelflap, a RRSport.co.uk umbrella in the boot & a RRSport.co.uk sticker on the rear glass.

Egypt is pretty grim............... at night they don't use any lights at all on the open road.......................... Until another vehicle comes along in the opposite direction and then they go straight on to full beams! Cairo traffic is a total nightmare and I was told that I shouldn't drive there..... for my own safety and that I should hire a driver instead and let him have the heart attacks and deal with the screaming locals. A Carbon Footprint is the mark a lump of coal makes when it's dropped on the ground.

Tata TDv8 HSE - Stornoway/ebony and straight grain walnut with towpack, Tasmods and an HST grille. Coming soon LEDs in the headlights
Staying - Epsom Green Defender 90 for playing off road

I can't remember what the traffic was like in Egypt. I only visited Alexandria, I should imagine Cairo is a lot worse. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Getting back on to the subject of crashed Sports, is there a thread I missed on this black smashed one? I was amazed to see these photos. Impressive to see that the front seat area is still protected well, but worrying about the rear. Also strange that none of the airbags seemed to have gone off. Seeing that the passengers seat has been dislodged, I would of expected the airbag in front to have been activated and also the side bags - as there has been front damage that should of activated the detectors. Matt

yea - wing mirrors are folded in - they wouldnt last 5 minutes otherwise. They did use their lights though.

They hoot the horn everytime they go around a corner - sometimes you get around the corner to see someone swerving out of the wrong lane - if you dont have a horn, you're a dead man.

It is indeed very very strange that no airbags appear to have been triggered, particularly since the story of the black rrs says that the driver walked away from the scene. Also the physics of where the car took most of the impact having left the road, rear upper roof, doesn't make sense to me.

Do you think that this damage could have been deliberately staged? Confused TDV6 SE Buckingham Blue, Alpaca, Cherry trim, Supercharger side and front grils, Privacy Glass, PTI, Roof rails&rack, Removeable tow-bar, Goodyear Wrangler F1's, Cherished plate, Alpine built in SatNav, rear view camera.......

Merc A class , the RRs younger brother.

Why would someone want to do that?

And if it was deliberately staged, it was bloody good. Those photo's were sent to me by a senior manager at Solihull. He received them from a dealer in the US.

The question about the airbags not being triggered is a subject for concern. But if the vehicle flipped in the air before landing on its roof that could explain it, there are no crash sensors in the roof. Arctic Frost TDV6 SE. Didn't it roll several times? You'd have thought that the various impacts and changes in vehicle momentum should have triggered some, if not all of the airbags. I have to say though, I don't plan on rolling my RRS anytime soon... it seems very stable in general chuckaboutability (I just made that word up, but you know what I mean)! Wink
