Range Rover Survey

Oh there is a god! I have just been called up by Landrover asking if I could spare 1/2 hour next week to do a market research visit about my RRS. Now normally I would say no but this is too good to resist considering the problems surrounding my crash. Of course I could expand my problems and include all fellow member's.

For this 1/2 hour they will give me the princely sum of £20.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets be having your problems - this could be interesting! Very Happy WINNER - 2008 Outstanding Contribution

OK, here's mine. Some do cross with MDP's list a little so delete where applicable.

1. SatNav routing is OK at best of times, laughable at worst.
2. Failing gas struts leading to post-smack swearing.
3. You can't turn the rear reading lights on/off without being in the back
4. PDC way too sensitive in non-parking situations
5. Clock in ridiculous location and disappears when you're on the PTI
6. Why is the bonnet release on the other side of the car?
7. Rear hatch only closes properly if you slam it, leading to broken number plate light
8. And finally, please could LR make it smaller so it doesn't pick up so many dings. About the size of a Micra should do Wink

Good luck, VA! I have a feeling they might wish they'd never invited you! Laughing

Bunch of chickens - I wonder if they only want people with glowing reports to attend! Rolling Eyes It's good stuff that market research, especially when you can choose the people you want to represent your product!

OK I've just completed the survey. It is a 60 question nationwide survey. Questions are like 'Are you happy with ....." Rate 1-5, 5 being no need to change, 1 being bad. Some questions gave you options that you would like added like rear view camera, better sat nav controls etc.

If any members want to ask me anything specific please contact me. Unfortunately they had no questions about customer service etc. which is what I really wanted to highlight. WINNER - 2008 Outstanding Contribution

One question they asked was about cleaning the car ' Is there anyway that cleaning the car could be made easier?' How do you answer that one except ask LR to include a LR offical car cleaning bloke on call 24hrs! WINNER - 2008 Outstanding Contribution

You could have asked for a set of monogrammed steps so that you could reach the roof to wash it. The monogram would be silver/black for SC owners and green for the others. Then there'd be an aftermarket for swapping the steps for the SC versions of course Wink

That's an odd question but I wonder why they asked it? Is it because like me, they have noticed that this car gets incredibly dirty very quickly?

Personally there should be an EAS override option for cleaning so you can drop it down to the bumpstops for easier access to the roof panel and make it only available when the car is stationary and key NOT in the ignition.

I wonder how many of us will be asked? Now: Range Rover Vogue TD6, JE Stage 1. (Green!)

There were also lots of questions about the quality of stereo and nav system. Questions about attaching ipods & pda's - answered that a lot needs to be improved in aspect to these. WINNER - 2008 Outstanding Contribution
