Spit roast.., where did that one come from? Shocked

Some interesting comments, and VA is absolutely right about the historic value of immigrants to this great Country. However, the issue is not about immigrants, it's about current immigration which has now spiralled out of control. As a consequence, we watch helplessly as East European scroungers and African "asylum seekers"(???) invade and swamp this small but proud island. Our housing, welfare and national health infrastructure is now at breaking point and we cannot cope with burgeoning pressure and consequence of unwelcome immigration.

Asians are generally peaceful and law-abiding people who come here to work hard, prosper and be self-sufficient. They're proven shrewd buisiness-people who successfully contribute to the economy. Ok, integration could be better.., but they're not a burden to society and enrich our culture! East Euopeans and Africans bring an unpleasant sub-culture of crime and violence, which impacts negatively on our quality of life!

However, I strongly believe everybody should pay their way and not live off others. If you cant pay your way..., GET THE FCensoredK OUT OF OUR COUNTRY!!! Evil or Very Mad

PS VA only supports immigration because it means he fill his mansion and estate with cheap £1 per hour Polish and Slovak servants (and they all live in the toilet)!!! Whistle MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

Talking of scroungers - we as tax payers will have to cough up and extra £400 per taxpayer to fund the governement pension scheme for politicians and civil servants. I bet you'll all pleased about that! 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Just think how much John Reid, Pressa and all the other Blairite chronies are going to get in compensation for "giving up" their ministerial jobs because there is no way they can work with Gordon Brown - fine socialists the lot of them, they should be made to show how socialist they are by forgoing any compensation and working for free for the same amount of time they have been in government positions. Blair alone stands to make possibly 10's of millions after leaving office, he certainly won't need the compensation for giving up his job. AND in addition he should have to foot his own security bills rather than the rest of of having to pay for him to be protected - for the rest of his life he will be costing us all a fortune in free chauffeured limos and office/secretarial staff that retire PM's are entiltled to. I suspect he of all the ex prime ministers will make dammed sure that he gets 100% use out those two freebies - even once he has become President Blair of the European Union 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

So, that's about £1000 per year, per tax-payer, to fund Scotland and retired public sectors workers? We're being legally mugged! Evil or Very Mad MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

Because we have a culture in the UK where hard work seems to be dirty words. Immigrants do jobs that certain people would not touch, they are prepared to work hard for long hours, you just need to look at the local corner shop which seem to be run by mostly Asian people but are open more hours than I'm awake. The UK is built on immigration and it is one of the reasons that make this country great, what needs is control over the immigrants we let in.

I agree.

Don,t start me Brian you are exactly right but no one wants to listen.
They are just buying votes I think.
What happens when we do not have enough tax left to put in the pot to fund it all. Anyone with an ounce of common sense can see it is wrong. I recently paid a large sum in inheritance tax only to be charged Income tax and then capital gains tax. Then went to visit customers in London to be confronted by these you mention who have been given 2K to come in this country then a free mobile phone to look for work and a flat to live in with the wife and kids. I visited a customer in Norwich last year and watched 2 of them pay for a car with a social security cheque to look for work. Then this article in the Mail about how the government think single mothers can be slightly depressed looking after the off-springs without a partner so they have free beauty care now to cheer them up- massage, hair do, manicure, pedicure the lot and then it says that in Manchester they have spent 65K of tax payers money trying the scheme out.

I have just received this via email, so i thought i would share it with you Whistle

A Bulgarian arrives in London as a new immigrant to the U K.

He stops the first person he sees walking down the street and says, "Thank you Mr. Englishman for letting me in this country, giving me housing, food stamps, free medical care, and free education!"

The passerby says, "You are mistaken, I am Pakistani."

The man goes on and encounters another passerby. "Thank you for having such a beautiful country here in England!"

The person says, "I not English , I'm Croatian."

The new arrival walks further, and the next person he sees he stops, shakes his hand and says, "Thank you for the wonderful England!"

That person puts up his hand and says, "I am from Middle East, I am not English!"

He finally sees a nice lady and asks, "Are you an Englishwoman?"

She says, "No, I am from Portugal!"

Puzzled, he asks her, "Where are all the English?"

The lady checks her watch and says ... "Probably at work." some of my Previous cars
