United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Sumatra Black

Kaine, you have a keen eye and WOULD notice the difference. I'm sure I will also spot the difference when I see one on the move. But it's not a striking difference, like the current 5 series vs old, or the 7 series, 6 series or even 3 series. I still say they should've been radical, make it look aggresive, mean and moody, not the big softie of a pretty cuddly school-run-mobile that it's become. They HAVE missed an opportunity and I'm sure Land Rover will haved breath a large sigh of relief? Whistle MY12 SDV6 HSE Sumatra/Ebony/Piano/Sidesteps/Privacy/Overfinch Olympus/JLR DRLs

To this day though, even though thanks to the RRS, LR and BMW customer bases do overlap somewhat I still think LR will always maintain their hardcore customers who want proper offroading capabilities. You'll never get that from BMW - neither do they advertise their SUVs as capable offroaders. It is true that the new X5 isn't obviously very different, but as others have said, see one in the flesh and it actually is. Also the interior is greatly improved (the last remaining BMW range to move to the "iDrive" interior). Countless people will still buy them....

No my mums worked for LH for 28 years. So obviously I can get ID tickets. Really comes in handy sometimes.

Haha very funny Jay, you may all think I'm but a spoilt little brat, but I work my ass off on school work and earn my own money, I havent asked my parents for money in over 3 years, anything I do get is for birthday, xmas etc or if my parents are feeling generous thank you!

i took the x5 around when i was shopping...the difference is this...in a few months time when everyone trades in to get their new x5, no longer will people be taking pictures of them to say "oo look.." whereas the RRS will continue to turn heads because its a RRS...BMWs, to quote someone, just aren't cool...but thats my snotty opinion and i'm sure others will vociferously disagree...don't get me wrong, they're both cuban cigars, only one's the cohiba, the other the upmann 2007 RRS HSE Java/Ebony w/Luxury Package

Nearly right, ones a Cuban (RRS) and the others a mere Hamlet (BMW). I drove the new X5 last weekend...and too be honest, it was a bit of a yawn! Yes, good build, yes, functional interior, average looks, but nothing that is a million miles from the old one. It certainly looks fresher, but as all German cars will date quickly. I drove the big daddy version and yes, it was quick and handled as the old one did, but it did not get one look on my test drive of 15 miles! Something my RRS gets each and every time I head out on the roads...not bad for a car that has been out for over 2 years now! RRS everytime for me.
