I’ve done a few, always had to go into JLR-SDD and tell it there was a new EPBM.

It needs to be calibrated which is presumably what the garage means by "coding".

Supplier of EPB says no coding required . Hence the idea to re build the original coded parts into a replacement..just change the motor or board Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

Workshop manual says requires calibrating using the JLR SDD.
