Thanks for that information, i just took that windshield sensor out just to check,i just can't see it having anything to do with the AC, if anyone else gets that code and their AC still runs fine please let me know.

The windshield misting sensor monitors moisture content in the cabin at windshield level and if detected, directs air to the inner of the glass to clear it. It will not stop the ac blowing cold and the system can work perfectly with it in fault. Only fix for this common fault is to change the sensor.

Thanks or that, the engine is 3.0 TDV6 and yes from both sides, it is not blowing heat(hot air) it is not blowing cold air its like outside temperature, if outside is cool it blows cool however its very hot like it is now it blows very hot air. To go a little further when i start the car up in the garage at first it blows cool air but minutes later it goes away and just normal air coming out the vents, it is like something is stopping the freon from getting cold or the compressor even though running is not running at max,but why no other fault code shows up on the OBD2 scanner for HVAC other than windshield intermittent wiper sensor? thats strange. |

I was going to say if it was the 4.4 with a fuel burning heater that it's likely to be the diverter valve on the FBH, I think most 3 litre's didn't have th FBH unless spec'd as an option when new. I had a very similar thing on my 4.4 L405 and it was the diverter valve. |
