My dealer stated they can't do anything and LR say its within the normal tolerances - I have shared this thread with my dealer and looking for options to resolve - lets see what happens.

Checked again with my dealer (Rybrook). Adamant they have been told by JLR that there was a fault in a production batch and are recalling those vehicles affected in some kind of order to have new remoulded flap fitted.

They certainly didn’t trial fit it on my car before painting.

I agree - it would have been a prudent move.

Tomorrow’s fitting has just been cancelled.

After Sales Manager has rejected the paint job on my new flap - dust in the paint job.

Item being trial fitted to confirm all is well before a strip & re-paint.

Will let you know on the result.

Have told him about your “recall” info - nothing seen by MY dealer , here in the south west!

Flap returned to bodyshop for re-paint, due next update on Wednesday.

Scrumps - thanks for the update. Sounds very positive. Hope they get the paint dry soon. Interestingly I got a recall letter today regarding required BISC update so will get dealer to order flap when I take it in.

There is a BISG (Belt Integrated Starter Generator) charging issue showing on Topix.

My D300 is about a month younger than yours (VIN165xxx - built 10th Oct 23) - should I expect something?

Topix is clear against my VIN.

Apologies - typo. It is a BISH Belt Integrated Starter Generator. Apparently there is a fault on the MHEV 48V charging system whereby it is not charged. Recall N846
Needs update to Starter Generator Charging Module - approx 30 mins at dealer.

Asked them to get me a new flap at same time but told they are on back order!

Second attempt at painting my cover rejected by the Assistant After Sales Manager!!

It’s a newly re-sited group body shop and I’m not sure the air filtration system is settled yet!

Update next Weds due to some well earned time off!!!

New flap fitted today - far better fit than the original.

It’s a pity the bodyshop guy was colourblind! - old (correct colour ) flap refitted!
