L320 2010.

Anyone know the part numbers for the foam blocks that are stuck to the bonnet lip adjacent to the hinges? Have googled for the number stamped into the part and come up with nothing.

They have disintegrated and need replacement. What are they for? I assume they're part of a seal. They seem to be soaking wet too so presumably there's a risk of a water trap causing corrosion. Gone: 10MY L320 RR Sport HSE, Ipanema Sand

Mine also came off and found they were quite expensive each side. Other owners on the D3 site had them also fall off and not replace them. So I chose to follow suit and haven't noticed anything untoward. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

They also have these foam bits on the L494. Mine were also soaking wet so I assume it’s some sort of seal…..Only issue is , I opened my bonnet the other week when I was something like -3 and it ripped the seals in half. Half still attached to the car and other half stuck to the underside of the bonnet. I will buy some new ones eventually but for now will try and glue them together when they eventually dry out which will probably be in the summer. Does anyone know a part number for these for the L494?

If you remove them where does the water go??

When the foam is new it’s waterproof. It seems to break down as it ages, and if it gets wet then freezes they get damaged when you open the bonnet.
