Throttle body leaking

This probably applies to most 3.0 TDV6/SDV6 engines. I have been nonchalantly chasing oil getting on the oil cooler/valley of the engine since last December. At first I thought oil cooler, but the oil was on top of it which didn’t make sense. Then I found what looked like a split in the elbow before the throttle body so swapped that for a new one, no change. Changed the secondary turbo oil drain pipe to the updated version that goes into the block since the oil was more evident when the engine got into the secondary turbo RPM change. This definitely reduced the amount of oil, but didn’t stop it. Then went with the three throttle body seals, this also definitely reduced the amount of oil, but didn’t stop it. Finally seem to have found the problem which is the seam between the throttle body tube and the Y piece attached to it going into the intake manifolds. This seam appears to have failed at the bottom allowing oil in the intake to escape. I have swapped this for a secondhand unit that’s a later revision than mine and moved all my ancillary pieces over to it. So far it seems to have either cured the problem or nearly eliminated it. The question will be for how long since there’s no guarantees this throttle body housing won’t fail the same way in the future. I may get the seam cleaned up and have it plastic welded all around, will see how I feel about it.

If any of you notice oil in the valley/oil cooler area of your engine, it could well be the throttle body housing and not a sloppy oil change. 2011 RRS HSE Luxury 3.0 TDV6 Fuji White on Ebony/Ivory
