Evening just wondering if anyone can help please? My airbag light is on. Im trying to pin down the faulty sensor.

I have an IId tool and im getting B0028 1b right side airbag deploy control.

I have looked at live values and i get 2.2 ohm's or there abouts for all sensors except number 7. (Drivers seat position)

Would anyone be so kind as to have a look on there iid tool to see what this reading should actually be please?

With the seat fully forward and fully back.

Im getting 10.2 ohm with it in either position so im thinking its likely a cable break. I cant seem to find any damaged cables under the seat and all contacts are clean.

Im at a loss now. Also does anyone know where the airbag module is? Ive removed the center console and fridge but cant find it.

Great thanks Andy, mamaged to find it but seems the wiring is fine. Im getting high resistance on deployment control no.7. I was told it was the seat sensor but im not too sure as physical resistance i get on it is 4.9ohm yet my iid reads 10.2.

If i add a 2.2ohm resistor to the position circuit it shows a seperate fault as position sensor.

I dont suppose you have a list of what deployment is what do you?

I think the resistance is of the pretensioner or airbag itself.

If you disconnect the seat yellow and orange plugs (one at a time) the change should be obvious on the iid

I had this last year with my 2005. After a lot of checking my mechanic replaced the clock spring in the steering wheel which fixed it. Barrie.
