I’ve got the same set of rails waiting for a car to put them on, so following this with interest.
Did you have to cut the rubber trim down?

Hi Shaun, There was no cutting, in the end Powerful uk sent me some bolts about 10mm shorter meaning i didnt have to use the spaces i was using but even then it wasnt tight enough so there was movement which is not good, The shorted bolts were spot on and i now have very tight secure rails and safe more importantly. They did say they have not had this issue before so the original screws they send might go fully into yours. Let us know on here if you dont mind it will be interesting to know and if you do have the same issue they know exactly what to send you.

This were the difference

I also pointed out this photo on land rovers identical set they have these spaces about 5/10m i think which they supply two of, Powerful send different spaces about

2mm so this difference could be the issue.

Just tried to fit my rails, getting the plastic plugs out was a pain and I ended up having to drill 4 out as they snapped.
The screws are too long
So I’ve emailed them to ask for shorter screws.

Interesting Shaun, When company’s say you’re the only one to report this or have this problem, then the next person has exactly the same issue Shocked , Im sure its how businesses run these days, Good thing about Powerful uk though is they will fix it at there cost, Cant fault them for service and they know exactly the issue now and how to fix it. They’re basically missing that 5 mm steel washer imo, The picture i have posted above. The after market kit is identical to the Land rover rail system but with the missing washer, which powerful have replaced with 2 black plastic ones only 1mm thick which is not enough to tighten the rails down, resulting with them bouncing, Then the load been carried is unsafe.
