Ours was picked up at the 4th annual service and replaced under warranty, just before it ran out.

8000 miles later, it went in for its 5th annual service and they are saying it needs replacing again, although they'd forgotten they had replaced it the year earlier. No longer under warranty, they are saying they would need to open it up to determine the cause before saying whether they would charge £1,400 to replace it again. Their argument being 'something else, like barings, might have caused it this time'.

I've spoken to a local independent LR specialist who was very clear that LR should sort this FOC. Either they mis-diagnosed the original problem or the repair has failed.

Has anyone in the UK had a repair fail and had LR repair again without charge?

Had mine fixed 2 weeks ago - Stratstone Aylesbury did a great job - so much so that the car feels different - for the better. I know it was a simple seal replacement but somehow the car just feels better, more responsive, smoother, etc

Sadly the intermittent airbag warning light issue wasn't fixed and still comes on (only when I drive the car - could be my backside is bigger than the wife's Smile

Check the seat wiring for airbag issue I had this if I fully extended the drivers seat back airbag warning would come on, remove error fault would still be there, move seat forward remove error no problem.

Not so long ago there was a TSB about leaking rear diffs - if it is still in force you might be due a free repair/replacement so try your dealership - IIRC it was for the e-diff. If you use the search function you will find the thread and the TSB reference number.
