Morning Guys, I've just tried using for the first time the Webasto software with the leads purchased from Disco3 site, nothing seems to be happening though all the screen says is operating state Offline

That shows laptop is connected to FBH with no faults logged
Click Control on menu bar then parking heating to fire it up TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten

Thanks for the reply Rob, maybe a stupid question but does the engine need to be running or can the FBH be triggered without and just by the laptop

Not a stupid question at all.

Car must NOT be running and its best to open bonnet and wait for car to go back to sleep (sat nav scrren goes blank) before starting otherwise you risk the car ecu overiflding the webasto software TDV8 now with extra grin factor thanks to Alive Tunning: Gone but not forgotten

Hi,
should look along these lines when running Thumbs Up



try a simple start a few times to see if it runs ok, if it cuts out a fault should be logged you can then clear the fault and try it again.

good luck what are you trying to sort Question remember many an hour with the laptop in the engine bay Sad
if it does not run you can run the "glow plugs" for a short time then a start but may be not do a prime unless you want lots of smoke Rolling Eyes

hi, sorry I never replied before I'm just looking back at my post as I'm going to give the software another try soon , as the cold weather is slowly creeping up. The problem I have is the fbh works for a while then just stops for no reason ? Last time I couldn't run the fbh wasn't sure if the ignition needed to be on

Usually it's because there's not enough airflow, so starts to fire up, then goes into cooldown mode. I've taken quite a few of these apart for that issue and it's just a case of cleaning out the burn chamber. Bodsys Brake Bible
