Sounds as though the connector isn't seated correctly, if you remove the offside (drivers) headlight you should be able to see the connector under where the headlight sits. Try cleaning the connection, you can get contact cleaner from Halfords. |

Thanks for that I have some cleaner already, as its a 5 minute job removing headlight I will give it a try when i get home from work. |

The bumper does not have to come off, nor do the connections need disturbed

Malfunctioning sensors are a PITA. Spent a long time faffing about trying to fix mine to no avail, so ended up removing the fuse & now I don't get that annoying noise

Had the same annoying issue on our D4, cleaning the connections worked, but it soon came back. Not a particularly quality unit to be honest. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i
