Just my 2pc, the left and right struts are different because of sub-woofer speaker mounted on the right side of the rear door

http://www.tailgatestruts.com have finally replied and want me to send the struts back to them so they can check the pressure in them as it would appear that the struts just need a little bit of extra pressure putting in them.

I advised them that apparently the specs of the left and right handed oncs are different at:

LH 0215WZ 0755N 350/09 CC35
and 6H32-406A10-BB

RH 6759YC F3 0783N 349/09 AD07
and 6H32-406A10-AB

LH = 755 newtons
RH = 783 Newtons
(as indicated within the part numbers above)

L/H BLUE
R/H RED

Cheers
Col

The confusion is LH RH Razz are we talking LH from the back or front of the car Rolling Eyes I think that's what people are thinking. I'd say LH from the rear of the car.

O/S and N/S are generally taken from sitting in Drivers Seat or Stood at Rear of Vehicle so Driver side R/H, Passenger Side L/H on R/H/D vehicle Thumbs Up

That's good. Thumbs Up

I can't believe they are handed though, the subwoofer weighs hardly anything, I know this I had removed mine last week when fitting my tailgate. It actually weighs naff all.

The tailgate on my 2010 facelift RRS is quite heavy to pull down at first and then shuts with enough force that I've never understood why there is a 'powerclose' feature. When opening you also have to use a fair amount of effort. Do I need new gas struts?

Please make sure you support the tail gate with a length of timber before removing either strut
