O/S and N/S are generally taken from sitting in Drivers Seat or Stood at Rear of Vehicle so Driver side R/H, Passenger Side L/H on R/H/D vehicle |

The tailgate on my 2010 facelift RRS is quite heavy to pull down at first and then shuts with enough force that I've never understood why there is a 'powerclose' feature. When opening you also have to use a fair amount of effort. Do I need new gas struts? |

i would say so, use genuine struts, i found that using aftermarket ones make things worse, |

Please make sure you support the tail gate with a length of timber before removing either strut |
